i'm sorry but are the sixers REALLY suppose to lose to golden state? and by a LARGE amount. as a sixers fan, i'm really embarassed. esp. because gs didn't even have two of their best players (richardson and nve) even playing!

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">PORTLAND, Ore., Nov. 3 (Ticker) -- Glenn Robinson may earn his stripes with the Philadelphia 76ers in time, but Allen Iverson remains their go-to guy.

Iverson scored 21 of his 31 points in the first half and Robinson added 15 in his 76ers debut as Philadelphia recorded a 94-83 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers.

Iverson showcased his quickness in a fast start, making 7-for-13 shots in the first half. His three-pointer off a feed from Eric Snow with less than five minutes to go before halftime gave Philadelphia a 41-34 cushion and capped an 8-0 burst that gave the 76ers the lead for good.

While Iverson was scurrying around on the perimeter, Kenny Thomas helped the undersized 76ers offset the Trail Blazers' advantage on the glass by muscling his way to 16 points and nine rebounds. Thomas also helped put Rasheed Wallace in foul trouble and made 8-of-10 from the line.

Snow's steal led to Iverson's pull-up jumper with 9:11 remaining for a comfortable 76-61 cushion. Snow committed just two turnovers in 38 minutes and scored eight points. </div>

The Warriors were missing Troy Murphy also. Yes, the 76ers should have taken advantage of the Warriors short bench.
