Chicago Bears general manager Jerry Angelo has been relieved of his duties, a league source told ESPN senior NFL analyst Chris Mortenson.

Angelo just finished his 11th year as the Bears GM. The team started this season 7-3, but injuries to quarterback Jay Cutler and running back Matt Forte led to a five-game losing streak. The Bears closed the season with a win over the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday to finish 8-8.
