    I like Rip City.

I like Rip City Resurrection better, though.

I dunno--makes us sound like we're always in rebuild mode (which is true, but hopefully ending). What happens after we win our second title? Are we still "resurrecting"?

Also, say we get creamed by the Lakers in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals. How many Laker posters are going to come on here saying, "You guys are going to NEED a resurrection just to make it to game two!"

Maybe I'm just defensive because I came up with the original name, though, so who knows?

How about "Rip City Rootin' Tootin' Revival" ?

I think we need to just forget about the PatterNash era and all the fallout from it. By not having "Resurrection" in there, it ignores that we've been one of the worst teams in the NBA the last five years or so.

We should just EXPECT greatness. And throw out the rest :)

Great point. And "Rip City Two" is sort of like saying this team is the sequel from the great Bill Walton team. And sequels are always better than the first.

    Just like Alien Resurrection.

Uh, not so fast there. Let's see if Oden can make it thru a season first.

The Warriors announcer just referred to our team's current state as a "Blazers renaissance."

    Hmmm....

    Rip City Renaissance?
