Did you all pick up the recent issue? I know the Greg Oden article was already posted here, but it's really great to see in print. It's the MAIN article for the NBA Preview issue. There are lots of great photos of him. There is also an article about Rudy Fernandez. We are getting serious press. And get THIS- there was a category called "6 Contenders Looking For a Good Buy." It mentioned the Cavs, Pistons, Celtics, Lakers, Mavericks, and US!!!! We're officially a "contender" says Sports Illustrated! That's so cool. They were basically mention that we may try to trade Raef's contract before the deadline instead of waiting for the off season to sign a free agent. I'm so excited about this season. They picked us to finish 7th in the West and for the Spurs to beat the Celtics in the Finals. We'll see what happens... My apologies if this has already been mentioned here. P.S. There was also a nice feature on LaMarcus Aldridge about Nate allowing him to shoot threes and if he can make a good percentage and about how he considers the Big 3 to be ranked Roy, then Greg, then him.
You know those covers a lot of times are regional. I assume they have Celtics on the cover in the NE.
I'm in NYC and yes, KG is on the cover. There are 6 covers: Kobe, KG, Howard, Durant, LeBron, and Brand And yes, I saw that Oden turned it down. I wonder who he would've replaced. Hmmmm...
I assume it's regional. So, I suppose Kobe Bryant. But hmm...if it is regional, LeBron, Garnett and Brand are clustered too close together. So, maybe not.
On 1080 The Fan they were talking about how "his behavior to shine away from the light is worth noting", as if it is some sort of negative attribute. Hello! Not everyone is Shaq, and you don't necessarily need an attention grabbing personality in the locker room. I think that Greg is doing just fine. Just another example of those idiots on the radio who don't really seem to have very intelligent sports opinions.
