San Antonio Spurs center Pau Gasol is out indefinitely after fracturing the fourth metacarpal on his left hand prior to the club's matchup on Thursday against the Denver Nuggets at the AT&T Center.

The Spurs announced the injury during the second quarter of their game against the Nuggets.

Gasol suffered the injury during pregame warm-ups, and the team immediately took X-rays at the AT&T Center before determining he suffered the fracture.

The Spurs haven't yet determined a timeline for Gasol's return, per the team.

Gasol was injured when he collided with teammate Kyle Anderson. He walked off the court grimacing and flexing his left hand. Veteran David Lee took Gasol's place in the starting lineup.
