Our likelihood to beat them and their likelihood to lose to us doesn't have a ton to do with the way the team that comes out of this series will perform going forward. We can build confidence and good habits against the Lakers but this is a perimeter league and while we can defend the Lakers well, they are an interior first team. The rest of the league seemingly are perimeter oriented, we aren't set up to stymie those types of offenses. The Lakers are made to kill opponents in the paint, we just happen to be incredibly strong with our interior D. Most teams the Lakers would face if they made it past us would not have the rim protection or lane clogging we do.

I'm not saying we can't beat other teams after this, it will likely just be in the form of shootouts after the Lakers as apposed to the grind outs we'll have with the Lakers.

It's such a subjective opinion. I don't know why people freak out about it.

I also hate how Dame has had to chip and chip every year to carve out respect. I remember a couple years ago other fans would argue that Dame wasn't even a top five point guard. He'll just keep proving the haters wrong. Can you believe this dude was left off All-Star teams? If Dame was in LA people would be screaming

LeBron was awesome as well. The way Dame is playing that you can make an argument he is better than LeBron is amazing. Dame doesn't have to necessarily even be better... if he can be 90% of what LeBron does the rest of the series our supporting cast has a great chance to beat the Lakers.

LeBron had the quietest triple double I think I have ever seen. He just seemed to not really be into the game.

Not sure what game you saw, he was their entire offense. He doesn't have CJ to help setup offense. He also has to play D, and he has to pace himself physically being 35. I thought he was great. Their 3-9 players were junk.

A 'quiet' triple double...and yet it was anyone's game with a minute or two left. That is a bit scary.

    It was anyone's game because

    A) We couldn't breath on Anthony Davis without fouling him.

    B) Their team sucks. They can't hit shots. That isn't going to change. They're bad.

    Completely agree with 'A'.

But if there was a bet that KCP, Enrico Caruso and and Kuzma to go 6-29 again, I'm taking the 'Over' and will gladly lose if they brick that hard again.

KCP has shot 41% from the field in this bubble. 27.7% from three.

Caruso - 32% from the field, 15% from three in the bubble.

Green - 38.7% from the field, 22.7% from three in the bubble.

Their role players are playing like garbage in the bubble. This isn't an outlier. They're playing like crap.
