http://nypost.com/2015/08/27/steve-ballmer-rejects-60m-offer-so-he-can-stream-clippers-games/ C'mon PA, do this with the Blazers without blackout rules!
We can only hope. I'd love to give PA some money, but I'm not buying 100 channels of comcrap just to get blazers games.
Paul had streaming games a few years ago, as an option for those who couldn't get CSNNW. I hope that the Blazers do something like this for the next TV offer. Kind of like the WWE network, where the games are offered online for a monthly fee or something. For a moderate fee, 5-10 a month, you could have access the non national/KGW games, access to the teams "library" and maybe the team could make up new shows/player shows. If they get 50000 subscribers (just a WAG), and charge 10 per month, that's what, 6 million a year. Maybe those #'s are realistic, but I'd totally buy a "Blazer network" subscription for 10 bucks a month.
Yeah, something like the WWE network would be great, I'd love to go back and watch old games from the 70-90s.
This, there needs to be a Blazer Network app that is available to stream via any console, tablet and is chromecast/roku compatible.
If Ballmer thinks he can sell more than $60 million in digital subscriptions, the number he turned down from Fox, he's delusional. There's a reason that Microsoft is running much better with him away from the helm.
