Storm Blows Through New Orleans, Defeats the VooDoo 62-48

    The Tampa Bay Storm (5-6, 3-3) defeated the New Orleans VooDoo (2-8, 1-3) on Friday evening by a score of 62-48. The win extended the team's win streak to two games and it was the team's first win in New Orleans since 2011.
    The Storm started the game off strong, scoring on the third play of its opening drive; a 19-yard T.T. Toliver reception. Toliver would finish the night with three receptions for 31 yards and a touchdown. He is now ranked tied for 7th all-time for most receiving touchdowns (235) in AFL history.

    Storm quarterback Randy Hippeard led the offense to its second consecutive win. He finished the night having completed 18-of-35 passes for 212 yards and five touchdowns. His top target was Joe Hills who caught nine receptions for 118 yards and four touchdowns.

    The Storm defensive backfield was led by defensive back James Harrell who had another strong game. He accounted for 12 total points, scoring on a 19-yard interception return, and a net recovery for a touchdown to open the second half.

    Ryan Perrilloux got the start under center for the VooDoo. He would finish the night 17-of-34 for 299 yards and four touchdowns. Perrilloux would also add 54 yards and three touchdowns on the ground. His top target was Quorey Payne who caught nine passes for 166 yards and two touchdowns.
