does he have any clue about defense. Why he would even stick Mo Williams on Steph Curry completely boggles my mind. Does Mo even know that the point of defense is to impede your opponent from getting to the basket, not letting him blow past you and following behind...
The Warriors scored 103 last night. If Portland had played an average Portland game last night, they win. The defense was not the problem last night.
I didn't see the game, but I saw the box score. Had Lillard and Aldridge actually done something I believe it.
"I thought we executed well, guys just weren't knocking down shots." Say what you like about Nate, sometimes this just happens...
You saw us as a championship contender at the beginning of the season? No, and neither did anyone else. Just because the Celtics went from lottery to title in one year doesn't mean I should be disappointed if we don't. I'm not in the habit of moving goalposts. A title would be awesome, but all I was hoping for at the beginning of the season was a playoff series victory. That's what I wanted in October, and that's what I want now.
I'd rather not even think of the former coach, but I am so glad I don't have to hear that phrase again and again.
I'm all about moving goalposts! I never expected this team to be as good as they are but they are so expectations need to change. If you have a chance to win a championship you go for it asap. I feel like this year is a great opportunity. OKC is vulnerable. The Spurs are vulnerable. The Lakers are a lottery team. This is a rare opportunity to come out and really make some noise. The Heat probably won't make 4 straight finals so there is a good chance that it will be Indy in the finals. With a few tweaks I think the Blazers can win it all.
And that would be great if they did, but I won't be super disappointed if they don't. A WCF appearance would still qualify as a successful season.
I'm not saying it wouldn't be. However if we want to win a championship and not just be the 00's Phoenix Suns 2.0 then the defense needs to improve.
