    Since the release of the Nintendo Wii U, people have talked about how the struggling console may need a shot in the arm. That was especially true in the aftermath of the Xbox One and PlayStation 4’s 2013 release, and with the Wii U now more than two years old, it would seem that that “shot in the arm” has come in the form of Super Smash Bros.

    Reports from well-connected insiders on the NeoGAF forums suggest that Super Smash Bros. for WIi U is now out of stock in the U.K., but the big news is that the game has sold 499,000 units in its first three days on U.S. store shelves. Prepared remarks from Nintendo state that the game is indeed “off to a great start,” and Australian and Japanese customers should soon be seeing Super Smash Bros. make its way to those markets within the next few days. And that isn’t all, as Nintendo’s remarks suggest – the company is promising “more surprises on the way” for its loyal gamers.
