<div class="quote_poster">Quoting UKFan33:</div><div class="quote_post"> Connecticut over Texas</div> That's almost the exact opposite of my picks. It's hard to argue any of them at this stage of the game though, but the one pick that stands out to me on your bracket is Wichita State over George Mason. I have to like George Mason's chances. We've been one of the sites that has consistently supported Wichita State by ranking them in our polls even with only mediocre records, so I know how good they are, but George Mason has a lot of momentum after dominating Michigan State in the first round and then coming back from a huge first half deficit to beat North Carolina earlier today. Most importantly though, the game is being played in their home town of Washington, D.C. I think that should give them a slight edge.

I'm really surprised to see so much faith in Memphis. They've been dominating the tourny competition so far, but they haven't really had to play anyone. In their first game they had sixteenth seeded Oral Roberts, who should have been a pushover but actually gave Memphis all they could handle until the later stages of the game. Then they had Bucknell, who can be a real handful for teams like Syracuse and Arkansas, but their S-L-O-W style fed right into the hands of the uptempo Tiger's offense. So even though the Tigers have made it this far without appearing to struggle, they haven't really faced a challenge yet, which should change when they meet Bradley. One of the Tiger's biggest weaknesses is their interior play, both offensively and defensively, and Bradley's big man Patrick O'Bryant is starting to come into his own. I can easily picture him having a field day against Joey Dorsey and Kareem Cooper in the post. The Tigers also rely too much on their outside shooting, and their shot selection, although improved, is still poor. Their rushed posessions and illadvised threes should catch up to them when they play a superior rebounding team like Bradley. That's why I'm picking the Braves to pull off the "upset" over the Tigers.

While I like Memphis to take this game, I believe Bradley matches up well with them. Bradley has a very athletic team that I think should be able to hold its own against Memphis' athletic squad; both teams have great depth; both have solid big men(O'Bryant is obvioulsy better than any of Memphis' big men); and both have great guards(Ruffin vs. Washington should be an excellent matchup). I'm actually lookinf forward to this game more than any of the others, because I could honestly see the #13 seed Bradley Braves moving on if Sommerville, Bennett, Wright, and O'Bryant all play like they have in the first two tournament games!
I don't think Memphis can play on the level as UCLA in the Elite 8, Farmar and that other guy with the crazy name wil ltake over and UCLA has other great players Carney and Washington won't be enough.

They use sort of a ten man rotation and bring Rodney Carney in off the bench. I don't think the opposition's guard play will be a problem either. With Washington, Allen, Douglas-Roberts, Anderson, S.Williams, and Carney, Memphis could have the best backcourt left in the tournament. It's their frontcourt that could use some work.
Meh, chutney has the same championship game as me. In the JBB bracket, i have different, but in all my others, I have LSU. Probably the only team to not make the Final 4 that has ever done that. Anyway you have Uconn over Nova, did you mean UF over Uconn?
