...I don't see us losing. I went through it carefully, game by game, and I see us winning them all finishing 63-19. This is gonna be fun. If you disagree with me, tell me which game and why.
You're not going to tell us WHY we're going to win all the games, game by game, but want US to tell YOU what we disagree on? That seems awfully fair and just.
Easy. We won't get swept by the Grizzlies. I mean, we almost beat them without Aldridge. We'll have Aldridge AND Freeland and a fully integrated Afflalo. Plus, we're very good on second games of back to back. Remember when we beat the Spurs in TRIPLE OVERTIME? Everyone thought we'd be too tired to beat the Pelicans in New Orleans the next night but we DESTROYED the Pelicans. We shouldn't have any problem with the Grizzlies. Fuck, the Griffinless Clippers just blew the Grizzlies out in Memphis.
I'll just say the one at golden state at home. I'd love to see you be objective about that one. What about the Pelicans at home? Hottest team in the league without Anthony Davis. Against Dallas at home. Please be objective. Can't just say a team sucks. Real reasons. What about @ golden state on a b2b? Can't say these are gimmies. Real reasons, again. Not that Golden state sucks or that we lost because of a missed timeout. We can EASILY lose (I don't WANT to lose, mind you) these 4 games. Golden state on either of those games because they have an offense that can run with us along with an improved defense, just like us. Curry and Thompson can out shoot Wes and Dame so we would need a damn solid Wes or a great performance out of Triple A to compete. If we can exploit the Lee/LMA match up, also. But that team can and has beat us, blown ref call or not. I never, ever feel comfortable with them. With the Pelicans, they can play ball. We lost to an Evans jumper last year (And hey, I can live with that, he's a horrible jump shooter)... but, aside from the b2b blowout, they always seem to play us tough. And like you said, hottest team in the league along with Houston. Dallas seems to have our number, even if we're up by 30 like last year (or was it 2 years ago?) And they almost came back and won in the 4th. Also, the Ellis shot last year in our building, and not to mention what the hell happened in our last meeting. How anyone can feel confident playing this team after that is frankly delusional, IMO. @ Golden State on a B2B... sure, the trip isn't long, but that, along with Utah and (more often than not) Denver on back 2 backs are always brutal. They rival us as one of the best home courts out there... their fans are passionate, and given that this is in mid April (4/9),,. There could be A LOT on the line. Again, Triple A and Wes will have to play A games, and we have to exploit matchups.... Those are the 4 I'm most worried about. There's others, but that's a good start at 3 am.
They also lost to Memphis by 3 just 4 days before that. Can't just say we aren't gonna get swept by a team. It's really not that 'easy'.
One at a time, one at a time. And I didn't JUST say we wouldn't get swept. Read my post. We will beat GS in GS for the same reason we beat them in GS last year, for the same reason we will always beat GS: they can't guard LaMarcus Aldridge. The only reason they beat us earlier this year was because the refs didn't call the timeout Batum was signaling for. It was a fluke. In a series, we will always beat GS.
Why do use back2back as some sort of challenge? The Blazers are great at second nights of back to backs. We own New Orleans by the way. Have you been paying attention?
Oh and we own Dallas. Blowing a big lead is actually a good sign. It means we are GETTING BIG LEADS on this team. I'm not worried about Dallas in a playoff series. For 7 quarters, we have owned them this year. Maybe Dallas can steal a game or 2 but they can't steal a whole series. We are too good.
And we already won both games in Denver. Denver is awful at home and their fans are awful. Where are you posting from? 2009?
Man, you are on a serious tear lately. I like your winning enthusiasm. I would love to win 60. Don't see it happening, but anything could happen I suppose!
Yeah...that Memphis game is not only the 2nd half of a back to back, but is also the end of a 5-game-in-7-night road trip. Considering the style of game the Grizz play, that will easily be the Blazers' toughest test in the remaining season.
