    I usually love throwback style hockey jerseys but these are a little too much like the Leafs and the logos are a little too much like Gatorade.

    What about this...

    If you're going for a retro look => use an old fashioned crest.

    The piping breaks up the solid colour to keep it from looking too much like the Leafs. Also it looks like rails of rain or lightning.

    The lack of stripes or blocks keeps it from being a direct copy of the Wings.

    Also it looks somewhat like a football jersey which makes sense considering the team caters to a Southern sensibility.

    They were going for a "Red Wings" look. They got it. Plus the Alternative is still the "Bolts Blue".
