All they did was potentially drop themselves 5 places in the draft.

To be honest, I was hoping they'd lose this game......for the
better draft pick selection. This win makes them lose the
much needed OT pick. I am pissed....at Detroit for all the
missed opportunities to win this game. Schwartz is an idiot.

Looking at mock drafts. If the Giants are determined on going OL in the first round, they would be beyond stupid to not trade down and pick up an extra second round pick. Honestly, they need guards and centers just as much as a LT. Beatty was crap this year. He could figure out how to be decent again. Both our guards and center suck. So, to me, if you are going with a guard, you can trade down, even possibly out of the first round to pick up many second and third round picks. Then draft guards, centers, possibly a OLB.

It was a horrible win, and sadly this coming Sunday may be another useless, draft-damaging win. The Giants finishing 7-9 is bad on so many levels, but after being 0-6 - it' even worse. The last time this team won a game that I actually thought they played well was last year at home against the Saints.

Nothing good came out of that win... they didn't even give Nassib any playing time... (or at any other point this season)....

Agree. The only good thing out of that win was Jernigan is starting to show he can be the third WR. I don't know if Randel can be the 2nd WR. What I do know is it is hysterical that Nicks, who dogged it all season because he was sulking about not getting a contract, says he wants to be back. All the more reason our dumb GM should be fired. It was a no brainer to move Nicks at the deadline. Even if the only return was a second rounder, the team could have used that pick on a top flight guard or center in the draft which we badly need.
