With his 0-7, zero assist night last night, his PER moved south toward it's ultimate destination. Where it stops, nobody knows. It's now 6.8. Below 7. His TS% is the lowest on the team, outside of Cameron Bairstow, and he hasn't even played 60 total minutes. His DRtg is 108, worst on the team. So he's not good at O and he's not good at D. Why is he out there?
Better one thread than every thread. His shooting this season has been well below his career average and in the last 10 games his shooting has been downright atrocious. As for why he's still out there, I think we all know the reason. We need more Moore.
His field goal percentage for his career is a whopping .411. The last time he beat that was 4 seasons ago.
Its over for Kirk. On the other hand, he doesn't cost a lot of money, although he is overpaid. The player option next year is annoying. He makes about 1M more than Nazr. If he could be the Nazr for the guards and play maybe 10 minutes, that would OK with me. There is something to having veteran leadership around. I found Hinrich much worse for the Bulls when he was slightly above average but was being paid a ton and was one of the, if not the, centerpiece of the organization. At least now our main guys are all-star caliber / potential all-NBA 1st team type players.
Smart guy, Ricky O'Donnel. http://chicago.sbnation.com/chicago...hicago-bulls-kirk-hinrich-stats-contract-rose That's from 2012. Nothing's changed for the better, only for the worse.
The classic. http://www.chicagonow.com/chicago-b...inrich-is-going-to-play-shooting-guard-w-t-f/ Yes, Kirk Hinrich's primary role for this team will be to play SG. Keith Bogans 2.0 here we come. Look, I've got nothing against Hinrich as a player. I, like most fans, enjoyed greatly the revival of the team he helped to bring when the Bulls drafted him. He's a tough minded, gritty guy, who tries had and leaves it all on the floor. He's a smart player who doesn't make lots of mistakes, can run an offense, find guys in their spots, and you know does some quality things you'd like out of your back up point guard. However, he can't shoot. He can't score. He can't release pressure on the rest of the team as an offensive threat. He can't fulfill the responsibilities this team needs out of it's shooting guard.
answers.yahoo.com from 2007. It's been that long that he's been not very good. https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20071105181810AAGjnnl How long is kirk hinrich's contract with the bulls? He sucks ***.?
Another Jay Pratt soon to be classic. This one from January 2015. http://www.blogabull.com/2015/1/9/7523383/bulls-vs-wizards-final-score-ugly Kirk Hinrich just sucks and can't hang against elite competition. Hinrich is fine as a backup playing around 15 minutes per game, but his deficiencies are glaring when he's playing big minutes against really good guards. It's brutal watching him toss up bricks and toss the ball to the other team.
http://www.blogabull.com/2015/1/27/7922943/the-unofficial-blog-a-bull-guide-and-meme-glossary And blame it on Thibs? Too bad we didn't let Charlotte win the bidding war for Kirk.
Adding injury to insult: http://chicago.sbnation.com/chicago...hicago-bulls-kirk-hinrich-stats-contract-rose (This was TWO seasons ago, he sucked then, too) And for you nntelligent cap guru types:
I don't hate the guy, that's the thing. I hate that he's playing so much on the team I root for. I want to root for much better players who give us a better chance to win.
It's his face and a dart board for me at this point. I just watch the game, I hear that he's coming into it, I automatically know we're now at a disadvantage.
