We really don't have enough info at this time, but if you HAD to choose..

Please comment on your poll choice and be specific, i.e. if you want a journeyman, which one? If you want to draft a center, which one?

right now I'm leaning toward signing a journeyman and using our capspace/trading power on BPA. But, of course that could change.

I'm vacillating too much here to have a decent opinion now, I'd rather wait for workouts of the various C's and also see if we get a better idea if a C like Asik might be available toward draft time

First option would be to trade LMA for a good, young C plus other assets.
Baring that, I'd say sign a journeyman - Kaman, Dalembert, Pachulia...probably in that order.

There are always players flying under the radar. Similar to Asik, Portland must not settle for a mediocre yet established and proven player. I'd rather roll the dice on a player who has shown nice advanced statistics but hasn't been given the opportunity to log more than 20 mins a game. There are always players out there in the vein of Asik or Jeremy Lin, the Blazers have to find that guy and lock him up at a great rate. Wes Matthews is another one of those guy.

Dieng is an intriguing prospect who looks like he could contribute rather quickly. Henson in Milwaukee is a guy I would love to go after. I think he is going to be a very good player in this league.

Big guys always seem to get hurt. Drummond already has been hurt. You risk trading LMA for a center and it has disaster written all over it. I say get 4 stud skill players, get a bench, and stock pile 3 average centers that will do your dirty work.

None of the above. I really like the Birdman as a player but there's a reason we didn't sign him as a free agent and that's still valid. Kaman - definitely not. Spending money on Bynum is too risky. Dieng I don't like that much, would rather have Siva from that team. I know nothing about Gobbert and I wouldn't waste our pick on him. The only center I would draft with our lottery pick is Noel and he's a top 3 pick (probably top1). I dunno, maybe Dwight Howard? But I don't like him.
