With Lillard's triumphant return tonight and what has been said about his leadership while he's been out I think this the right time to bring this out again. Lillard's going to start off with a statement tonight. 53 points 11 assists, 8 rebounds, 2 steals and 1 block against the Lakers tonight.
I don't think he'll go off tonight. I almost think the game will be closer than it should be (especially since all season the team has been shittier than they should be).
Go back and look at what the Blazer's record was when I started last years FU Tour and let me know if you think this thread is a jinx.
OOOOH OOOOH, I wanna do it. I feel like I've been slacking and my wang needs to be seen... Just call me the Twolves Wang Mod!
1-0 on the FU Tour and before anyone dismisses it, a win is a win whether by one point or 20 points. I will post Lillard's stat line when I get to work tomorrow morning. Will be more simplified this year than last year.
I think its more of the latter. I'm looking at essentially the same lineup this year from last and the problems seem pretty real to me. It makes me think, or at least stands to reason that the issues were lurking under the surface and just waiting to be exposed. I guess some could find solace in the fact that we were 15-23 at this time last year. We predictably lost the next game to the warriors and then went on a torrid stretch where we won 18 of the next 22 games before we came back down some, finishing 11-11 the rest of the way. Then stole a 1st round series from an injury depleted Clippers team. It was a real nice story and a lot to be proud of for a young team. Its just shame we didn't make any moves to actually improve this roster. They just simply through a lot of money around and added nothing.
But you're not though. Lillard went off for 21/10/5 .500 FG% .400 3P% I'll take that double double faster than him going off for 30+.
I thought he had a nice, efficient return to the lineup. He had some pretty nice dishes and scored when he needed to.
I don't think he "went off" like he did during the "FU Tour" thing from last year. He scored less points than he averages. Plus, the team barely beat the Lakers, so I was right.
21 points, 10 assists, 5 rebounds and 2 turnovers in 35 minutes for Damian Lillard in a win vs the Lakers.(1/6/17) Lillard was +29.
