Problem is the teams who are sitting high in the draft are also teams who need young talent to build their future. Only Boston could do without and if they had no. 3 instead of no. 1, they could be trading that for a player but it still would not be with us.

Lakers need that player. 76ers need a player. Suns need a young playmaker. Sacramento are in full rebuild mode and need to get players as talented as possible. Orlando finally need to add someone good but due to how inept they've been in the market, they could actually make that no. 6 available. Minnesota need a playmaker or a forward, especially after Dunn has failed to impress so far. New York will take Smith, or Ntilikina if Smith is not on the table. Mavericks will want that young player too. MAYBE you could trade for Sacramento no. 10 if they don't particularly fancy anyone there, for no. 15 and additions. Then from 11 downwards I think all picks are available. Charlotte, Detroit, Miami and especially Denver will all happily trade down if they get good value. 15 plus one of 20/26 would comfortably get us any of these picks IMO.

I fucked up the picks anyway. I changed it.

    Would SAC swap 5, 10 & 34 to get 8, 15, 20, 26, and Harkless?
Would NYK swap 8 for 10 to get rid of Lee's contract?

I think I've fully fleshed my thoughts on Jordan Bell's defensive strengths and weaknesses.

    + Outlier twitch/feel/timing as a weakside shotblocker
+ Quick feet / hands, crafty post defender (poke aways, strip blocks)
+ Quick explosive leaper allows him to blocks shots most can't get to

    - Inconsistent motor: will make the spectacular athletic play but takes plays off.
    - Lacks feel/experience guarding pnr. Often caught in no man's land.
    - Stiff hips + lack of ranginess makes him a shaky switch big despite raw athleticism. Easy to turn, struggles to change direction.
    - Hunts blks/stls, wants to make plays but gives up position too often. Bites on shot fakes, not always a disciplined defender.

Call it a gut feeling or whatever but I think Olshey will try to trade up. He's always been aggressive during the draft even when he didn't have much ammo. An example would be when he wanted to move up for porzingis. This year he actually has some ammo but I have no idea how far up it'd get him or who he'd target. I don't think he'd trade up a couple spots. He would try and go as far up as possible. If I had to guess; Jonathan Isaac somewhere in the 5-8 range.

I feel that. SAC at 10 is what I'd be looking at.

Wish we could trade up for Tatum though. We'd need to get up to 5. 15, 20, 26, and a future 1st for 5 and 34 is what I'd offer.

If we could get to 5, we could strike a confident deal if they want Smith. They'd take Tatum 3, and we'd take Smith at 5. Then we'd trade and give them 34 plus a future 2nd.

If PHX took Smith 4th, we'd land Josh Jackson.

    I wish we had 10, 19, and 23. Ugh.

No. At 5 and 10 you get two potential stars. They don't need Harkless.

When 33 year old JJ Redick is set to land $18-20m per, I'd be looking hard at how high a package of 15, 20/26, and Crabbe would get us. Orlando at 6, Minny at 7, and New York at 8 could all be interested in that kind of package.

    How bout this?
    POR Gets: 8, Noah,
NYK Gets: 15, 26, Crabbe, Harkless, Napier
You open with 15, 26, AC, Bazz and Moe for 8. If they reject, you offer to take Noah's contract. I think that might get it done.

Then you could try to package 8 and 20 for 5.

Ok but what kind of talent is there at 10 that wouldn't be there at 15? I personally don't see too big of a drop in value from 10 to 15. If we're going to move up, we might as well go big.

Noah is literally the worst contract in the league. That'd be a hard pass from me.

Well our cap is already fucked so we might as well take it to move up.

If they want to move it that bad then maybe we would have to package AC, Moe as well as just 15, or just 20 and 26.

8 and 15 or 8, 20, and 26 is a very powerful position. Wed have a chance of getting to 5.

Ok if Jonathan Isaac is there at 10, I'm offering Sacramento whatever the fuck they want outside of the big three.

Maybe New York, at a push, but what can you get with their pick? Fultz, Ball and Jackson will all 100% be gone by then. 95% chance that Tatum, Fox and Isaac are also gone. Small chance that Dennis Smith is available but even then we don't really need him. Lauri Markkanen should be available but I am not even sure he is all that amazing.

Minnesota will want to draft Ntilikina or Smith. Orlando are dumb idiots so they might actually go for it, even if it makes no sense. I would not be surprised if they took Aminu alone for no. 6, that's how inept they've been, plus they must be completely disillusioned with the idea of draft when the return of their top 10 picks over the last 5 years has been Oladipo (traded for Ibaka who was traded for Ross + no. 23), Gordon (not very good, especially for a no. 4), Mario Hezonja (has shown nothing for a no.5 pick) and Payton (not good, acquired for the rights to Saric who is much better).

Some predictions- don't quote me if I'm wrong.

Harry Giles will go in the lottery.

Zach Collins will go top 10

    Ferguson will be a blazer.

Been looking at Sacramento forum and they all think it's very likely that they trade no. 10 with us for #20, #26 and a future 1st. I think it's also something Olshey would do. If Markkanen is available at 10, we would take him and then whichever of Jackson and Anonuby is still available at 15. If Markkanen is not there, we probably take Zach Collins. Sacramento won't do that if Isaac falls to 10 but it's unlikely that he does.

I would like that I must say.
