Haven't read much of the thread, but what do you guys think about putting two or all of our first round pics to move up? How high do you think we could trade up for and who would you take?

I think the more important factor is the target. You only trade up if you have a target.
This draft is showing 7-8 of the top ten will be Guards, of which we are not in need of. So the questions should really be, who is the target, what is their projected draft position and what would it take to trade up for him, but if you cant nail down a target, you don't trade up.

So we need to get up to #5-#6 to get him. Do you think we can do that in a combo trade to Miami? Our 3 picks for their #6?

I think we would need to give up too much to do so. I think we can get a similar player in Jackson much more realistically.

    Draft
Draft Express has him at #8. I think he has a lot more potential than Jackson.

Although I can see him as somebody that Miami would really want; might remind them of Chris Bosh.

#6 on this one, but often its team needs that play into factor as much as talent and skill level.

It would cost alot more I think to get up to him than it would for Jackson though.

I don't see that Miami has a pick there. Now I feel more comfortable that he might be available at #8. That's the Kings.

    Sorry, Minni, Not Miami.

Looking at it though, I don't see why we cant get both?
trade #15 & #20 with a decent contract guy like Harkless to get up to #6-#8? to nail down Johnathan Isaac and then use our Cleve pick on Justin Jackson.

Young lanky athletic guys on rookie contracts. Yup. I think we could do both.

And then I would still trade Leonard/Aminu/Crabbe to Phoenix for Chandler and Co. that I proposed in another thread.

I'm sorry dude but that is the wrong site to reference. Their mock drafts are horrible. Jackson don't be there at 26, and he likely won't be there at 20 either.

DraftExpress is greater than every other site combined.

Got it and checked it out. Okay, so then my original statement/comment still stands. I don't want to give up the farm to trade up enough to get a freshman in Isaac, however I think we can combine all three picks to get up enough to get Jackson. Or two picks and Harkless. Then figure out how to trade up on our Cleveland pick with OKC to go after Rabb. They don't need another big. Our Cleve pick and 2018 2nd to move up a few spots?

which is unfortunately why we wont see him in a blazer jersey any time soon. He was my target back when we were (we still are imo) on track to be a lotto team. But now we dont have the pieces to move up the 7-10 places to be in his range.

It'll be a successful draft if Olshey can somehow grab Og Anunoby and Ike Anigbogu. I'd be happy with that.

Rabb is the size of a 4, with the skills and athleticism of a 5.

Reminds me a lot of Ed Davis. That's probably his ceiling.
