Hell ya! Those are far and few between. And especially with this season, it looks like I won't be traveling with the team for the first time since 04-05, I'll get some familia time.

Not that I haven't had almost 9 straight months of that, but you know what I mean.

So you guys are doing the broadcasts remotely? Or are just not going to work at all when they are on the road? Can you just work the feed from here? I'm not a real tech "Techy" Nerd type so i don't really know these things. I just know what i see and if it's gonna be someone else doing that pop up over the score during free throws i want to know who to blame!
Also i want the floor emblems straight this time if they are gonna be all tech "Techy" and super-impose them on the floor they should at least try to get the picture straight. Do you guys even think about the job of the guy that used to shine the real emblems on the floor and stick them on straight? What does he do now? Do you guys let him live in the video truck when you aren't using it? :smiley-pointsmile:

So our home games will be in the truck like normal. Home games visually will have pretty much the same look as they used to be. 12 cameras or so and the normal look. "Road" games will be VERY different. They will have the same vibe as the bubble games did. Majority of fans won't notice the difference.
We have the ability to "fiber" back close to 7 cameras. Usually I have 3 other guys next to me helping, but the bubble, it was just me. Hopefully we get a 2nd person on these "road" games to help.

Not quite sure yet, but I think our announcers will NOT be traveling to call the games. So it would be the same situation as bubble games for them as well. VERY STRANGE season coming up.....ON and OFF the court.

The second guy could be the guy who used to shine the emblems on the courts or does he actually have to know Nerdy stuff?

Honestly. Happy you have work and are getting to do your thing.

I was going to try and make an HCP joke for the first time but that made me wonder, where is Lanny? I'm a former OLive guy and I haven't seen Lanny post on here in quite some time. Lanny and I never met but I kept track of his health and respect him so much from one Blazers fan to another. Does anyone know how he is or why he doesn't post... or if I'm just missing his posts?

He mainly posts in the OT section. His profile says he was last seen at 4:12 am yesterday morning.
