Lou Williams was one of the few players the Los Angeles Lakers could count on to score efficiently last season. Williams 58.4 percent was the second highest true-shooting percentage on the team behind only Brandon Bass (61.9 percent) last year, and the Lakers' offense was a full two points better per-100 possessions with Williams on the floor (99.6 offensive rating versus 97.6 when he sat). Considering Williams is under contract to for two more years at an increasingly team-friendly looking $7 million per year, it would make sense if the Lakers wanted to keep him. That's precisely what they intend to do, according to Steve Kyler of Basketball Insiders, who wrote on Tuesday that the "Lakers want to keep [Williams]" and that the team sees him "as a glue guy for [a] young team, it's why they paid him."
