The refs kept them in that game. Yes, they blew us out of the water in the 4th, but during the third quarter when we were making shots, they were calling fouls almost every time down the floor. That foul on Plumlee where he went straight up and Green just bowled him over, that was bullshit. I've never seen so many reversed calls in another team's favor. Well I have.... they were also wearing yellow, interesting enough.

We need more talent. We need more scorers. Dame can't carry this team all the time, but we can't beat the Warriors AND the refs. They waited until Golden State was pulling away and then they started evening up the foul numbers. It's a joke. The league is a joke. They want their Warriors/Spurs series and we don't stand a chance.

Shirley, this isn't your first realization of this. Most of us here know we're watching professional wrestling + ball. Enjoy the pageantry that is the NBA!

Why do we keep coming back to a game we know we can't win? They won't LET us win.

I don't watch games now. I watched the score on ESPN.com.

I can't watch the NBA if I care about who wins because I know it isn't fair.

We have scorers. Aminu and Henderson scored. We just need to play better defense. We'll be fine. Warriors going down at Moda.

because we foolishly think we'll get our Daniel Bryan moment, and win a title..only to have the team break down and be dismantled.

God I hope I'm a fan of a team that wins a title soon. 39 going on 40 years is enough.

And before anyone talks about how the Warriors went 40 years between titles, I'd like to point out all of the championships San Francisco sports teams won since 1975 vs all the championships Portland sports teams have won since 1977.

Hint: the bay area has won more.

Well, maybe it would be better if they swept us, to give Curry less time to recover. I'll definitely be rooting for San Antonio (or the Thunder even) vs these douche bags.

NBA calls have always been very inconsistent and the small market gets the shaft.

Not much has changed. Jake O'Donnell wasn't going to let the Blazers win back in the day either.

The problem wasn't just defense. The problem was that we could not score in the 4th quarter. We just stopped making shots.

There are always bad calls, both ways. Yeah it's physical, this is the playoffs. They had an eleven point lead going into the fourth and then scored 12 points the entire quarter. They looked very composed for 3 quarters and showed their inexperience in the fourth. That's why they lost.

If the NBA was really conspiring and using the officiating to get what they want, they'd have had the Blazers win. They'd want the series to go 7 games and have drama.

Against any other player Plumlee would have dunked twice or three times in the fourth; but Green "doesn't foul"...

Our offense stalling out in the 4th and devolving into 1 on 5 is what killed us. Defense wasn't bad tonight.

It depends on how many games of practice Curry needs; we survive at his leisure. If Kerr thinks he needs two good games, we might win game 3, while Curry comes back for 4 and 5. If he needs more time off first, we might win 3 and 4.

There was a lot of passing; it was just to Aminu and Plumlee in the key. Aminu Time isn't as exciting as Lillard Time.

There were a lot of no calls on both sides and some reputation calls but I never felt like we really got screwed anymore then the warriors did, we got lots of calls int he first half they got a decent amount of questionable calls in the third but we also seemed to get more moving screen calls against them the nay other team this year. I mean who else besides Green/Tony Allen can play insanely physical D and almost never get a foul but thats another thing all togethor.

I don't really mind the Warriors, but their fans are annoying as hell.

Green gets away with an absurd amount of body contact.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Well, that's reputation calls as well. Kawhi Leonard can body and grab on defense much, much more than someone like, say, Harkless can. Players who are viewed as top-tier defenders get more favorable non-calls, just as players who are considered top-tier offensive players get more favorable calls.

I've never believed that the NBA actually fixes games or instructs its officials to help specific teams, but I certainly believe that better players get a more favorable officiating eye, which I think is pretty silly.
