    Thumbs up?

    or thumbs down?

Do you like his idea of putting Leonard in charge of the police bureau and alienating Chief Sizer?

Do you like his idea of bringing the old Sauvie Island bridge in to town and making it a bike bridge over the 205 freeway?

Do you like his objections to the new I5 bridge to Vancouver?

    Mostly up.
I'm not too sure about the Leonard/Sizer thing.
    I liked the bridge idea.
I haven't heard his view on the I5 bridge, but any objection is a good one.

Right now I am thumbs down on the mayor. He has his pet projects. Willing to give him a chance though.

    why?

the traffic is horrible, and will only get worse over the coming years. i have clients in vancouver and battleground and going to see them can be a drag if i have to go during the wrong time of day.

I don't know very much about the new mayor but I'm hoping he is better then the last mayor. I really didn't like Potter at all!!!

    openly gay
    former aide to Vera Katz
known for pandering to special interest groups
    known for brokering backroom deals
    known for being strongly pro-environment
    supports bicyclists
is involved in a pissing match between Leonard and Sizer. Sizer hates Leonard. Says she will refuse to work with him. Leonard cut a deal with Adams to help coverup an alleged affair between Adams and a 17 year old intern during the campaign and Adams agreed to make him commissioner in charge of the police bureau.

Sounds like the perfect Portland mayor lol. I think you have to have those qualifications to get elected mayor in Portland. I did sort of like Vera Katz. I think Katz was at least a lot better then Potter IMO.

Vera knew how to get things done.

    I hope Adams does too.

My hope is that Sam Adams understands just like Vera Katz did that MLB and MLS would both be good for Portland and have cultural value. Tom Potter can kiss my grits.
