Jason Quick: Blazers hold players-only meeting after 92-89 loss at Atl. LaMarcus Aldridge asked that media be held out of locker room so team could talk Also on Nic Joe Freeman: Batum said he is scheduled for more tests in three days, but expects to play Friday when #Blazers visit Toronto Raptors.
LMA better tell the team "I better touch the ball EVERYDAMN DRIVE STOP CHUCKING IT AND TAKE LONG ASS TWO'S ASSHOLES!"
Jason Quick: The meeting comes after coach Nate McMillan tells the media that his team isn't playing hard enough Jason Quick: Talked w/Aldridge, Crawford & Matthews. Gist of meeting was the players like each other so much they aren't holding one another accountable oOoOoOo
Nate is absolutely right on this one. The team looked like shitstains in the first half not because they were tired, but because they gave no effort at all. Guys were walking the ball up after rebounds and misses, holding the ball for 24 seconds before shooting. Making lazy strides getting back on transition etc. The team that came out in the second half was completely different. They were ALIVE. And then they piss it all away at the end by playing some of the worst offensive basketball I've seen all season. It's not just the players need to hold each other accountable. Nate has to take control of this team. Lay down some ground rules. If you're sleepwalking during the game, you get your ass pulled. It doesn't matter if you're Armon Johnson or LaMarcus Aldridge, PLAY WITH SOME EFFORT.
so our "chemistry" is too good (lol), we need a bit of a bas ass on this team, nice guys finish ....... U know the answer
Nate should play his bench guys big minutes to make a statement. Particullarly to Raymond "Missy Pants" Felton, Gerald "and Hyde" Wallace. Lamarshmellow better go through his annual metamorphasis soon....
This short season, some teams say, "We've only had 5 practices in 3 weeks." Every day should be used to teach something. Unless you have nothing to teach, like our bonehead coach.
Crawford had some interesting takes... http://www.csnnw.com/pages/video?PID=FEeMpB-vbBmnH5Xmfy252V9WoRDrlXMAKqQPChh#
I thought Lamarcus' interview was good. He mentioned "not getting the ball" a few times and looked like he had a focused idea of ending this low.
He's half the player Roy was, so this new leader act, that the coaches must have told him to do, will fall flat fast, when he can't back it up.
