Im not here to hate....that game was awesome and loved every minute of that amazing 4th quarter....Brandon motherfucking Roy BUT..... There is no way that call should have been overturned....it was suck a clusterfuck of hands at the top that it was impossible to see who touched it at the top last. Then when the ball is coming down it looks like Crash could have swung down and touched the ball again but inconclusive because of a bad camera angle. The ball was the Mavs before the review it should have stayed with the Mavs. If they had first called it POR ball then it should have stayed with POR. Roy was on such a role IMO the Blazers would have still overcome it....but that was a bullshit reversal of the call Not hating, just sayin
They stayed on the overhead one awhile, which seemed to show Chandler's hand on top of the ball slapping downward. But I semi-agree, I thought best-case scenario is a Crash/Chandler tossup. I'm NEVER one to put my faith in Steve Javie making an impartial call.
I clearly saw Chandler's fingernail on the ball last before it went out of bounds. Get some glasses!!!
Portland has been screwed by the refs so many times, that I HOPE Gerald touched the ball last. Blazers need to win one of those one time!
Maybe we lucked out with this call. But the refs must've saw something to overturn it. Maybe they had an angle that the viewers didn't.
Are you sure about that? I thought that was only an option when the refs were totally clueless to what happened and dont even make an initial call...Once a call has been made having a jump ball is no longer an option, just overturning the initial call Or am I wrong? (I just looked at my sig, I cant be)
Wallace had inside position with both hands on the ball trying to secure it, Chandler (from behind) had one slapping down on it. Calls for this sort of tie scenario typically go against the player who is poking the ball away they want 7 games STOMP
Chandler basically volleyball spiked the thing out of Wallace's hands -- I don't see a problem with the call.
This. I'm sure there will be no convincing any Mavs fan of this, but to me it was clear that although Wallace got his hand on the ball, it was Chandler who knocked it out of bounds. It's always called like that. Always.
I had 9 different angles to look at super-slo mo. I honestly couldn't tell one way or the other. Would have been cool with the refs decision either way.
