    • New UFC Athlete Health and Performance Center in Las Vegas will assist athletes with proper weight cutting and dietary advice
    • Athlete health and weight will be monitored throughout the year
    • Athletes may not be more than 8% away from target weight by Tuesday of fight week, supposing they fight on Saturday (for example, 168.5-lbs for lightweights)
    • Ban on using IV's after weigh-ins is still in effect

Double weigh-ins will be the next step. The fighter will weigh in a second time the day of the fight and will not be allowed to be heavier than he was the night before by x-pounds.

this is probably very beneficial to the fighters long term health... I wonder how they will perceive it though.
