<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Timberwolves Vice President of Basketball Operations/General Manager Kevin McHale today announced the team has rescinded its qualifying offer to restricted free-agent guard Mike Wilks, making him an unrestricted free agent under the rules of the collective bargaining agreement.</div> http://www.nba.com/timberwolves/news/wilks_030902.html I liked him, I personally wanted him back. Your thoughts?
umm... he wasnt lookin at much time... I did like of what I seen of him... I think its more important that we sign a big man first... I mean we have Cassell and Hudson... and Spree is able to handle the ball as well so its not that big of a lose... but I think resigining trent is a must...
Right now, Trent is a must, but I think we should have waited and see if we could resign Wilks along with him.
I wonder why they let him go. If any of our pointguards get injured we have no backup PG, then what's going to happen? The Mayor will play pointguard or who? I believe a decent team needs at least 3 pointguards, coz' they are the hardest to substitute.
The T-Wolves will be fine at the PG spot. Cassell as the starter, with Hudson as the backup. If either player gets hurt there are plenty of free agent point guards they can sign more 10 day contracts or league minimums. And they still have Igor Rakocevic, who was on the IL last season. He played very well in the summer leagues for the TWolves as the starting PG averaging around 7 assists per game.
