At 18-27, Portland has no chance to make it higher than 8th. There has been tough games in the past where it seemed like things are tough, but this is the bottom. From now on, losses will just be a formality, and probably a good thing. This was the final straw that broke the camels back. The achieving Post-Aldridge Blazers era (if it wasn't already) is now officially over. It's time to make changes, and start a new era, whether it be defined by high picks or trades for competent players. So late the trade threads for every Blazer commence. Let's ramp up those Fire Olshey and fire Stotts threads. Let's enjoy the fucking pain and grind this out together as one, united, message board. Lmao...
At least the world, as we know it, is not ending yet. Enjoy the ride. If nothing we can enjoy a potential good draft pick. Unless Olshey wants to trade that away for a mediocre player. In that case we may all follow suit and punch our walls, Bones.
This ain't rock bottom at all....the season Nate got fired was rock bottom.....Raymond Felton was rock bottom
I mean I don't mind a lottery pick. Man Tunchi is probably fucking loving this but you know what? he was semi right
It was a close game against a hot team. Clippers are about to go on tailspin. Our schedule gets easier as the season goes on. 7th is possible. Who knew we'd get to 5th last year. We'll probably be 8th and will give it all we have.
The question is how can we turn this around again. We obviously need to get rid of some guys. It's just not working
Tunchi always had some decent points, but the man was constantly saying it as if he was gloating and constantly trashed the team to no end. Got annoying real fast
On the bright side we will have two first round picks in a very loaded draft. Package those and a player and get a top 5 pick. A top 5 pick that has star potential can make us a contender again. This is a loaded draft. If not, decide on trading one of Lillard and McCollum and draft one of these good PG's in this draft if it comes down to BPA. Were Portland, building through the draft is our best bet.
We've lost 5 in a row against the Pistons, Magic, Wizards, Hornets, and 76ers. The easier schedule won't make a difference when we can't consistently beat anyone.
I'm all for trading CJ for Philadelphia's 2 draft picks. We need to find a way to get multiple lottery picks. We need to get young, and then try to contend 3-5 years from now. Dame's 26. We have time.
I'm not opposed to trading Lillard if it comes down to it. There's a guy named Dennis Smith at NC State who I personally think has a higher ceiling.
I'd rather have a passing PG than a streaky scoring PG. Love Dame but he's not taking us to the promised land. No way, now how.
Sadly we played 'better' against the hapless 76'ers....even if they have won a game or two of late. Embiid was out for most of the 4th quarter. Now we play a much better team in the Celtics.
