Going to the Thorn game with my niece today. Wondering if there will be an "Army" there?

Attendance number will be interesting too. Don't think these games are even televised. Wonder if the team and the league will survive . . .

There is no "Thorns Army." I think there is a new supporters group called "The Riveters." Like Rosie the Riveter.

Thorns have sold 7000 season tickets. The opener should be quite well attended. I'm not sure about how the other teams will do though. The tie in with the Timbers is a huge advantage for ticket sales, like the Seahawks selling tickets to Sounders matches to their season ticket holders.

I think the league as a whole will be fine as long as the US, Canadian, and Mexican federations continue paying the salaries of their own best players. As far as I know that sort of salary assistance hasn't been done in the past.

    16K plus for attendance.

Fun game to attend . . . but honestly I didn't find the level of play as high as I was hoping.
