My season seats. These are just above the entrance, so there are no seats directly in front. I enjoy the extra leg room. Best offer takes them.
Blazers site is showing them for $14 per ticket. Season ticket holder price is $17 per ticket. One seat down and across the aisle are $30 each. Cannot go to the game tonight and the person that was supposed to buy them backed out conveniently before I could donate them to charity. Edit: Was able to donate, so this one can be locked.
...I will gladly accept your donation, you may submit them for EarthwormsForEarth.org -- thank you in advance!
If I could use it for a tax writeoff, I would gladly do it. Was able to get ahold of the Blazers tonight though.
A tax write-off? $17x2=$34. Multiply that by your potential tax (I'll call it 31%, but maybe you're 28%). That's $11 of a tax benefit. You could've sold them for $20 and made more than you did by donating them.
That is if I xould sell them for $20. I do not like dealing with Craigslist since paper tickets went away and Stubhub kills the lower priced seats. It is also 35%. I have the same pair for the Pacers.
I don't blame you, but I was just being a smartass. The e-tickets are a pain in the ass. Sure, I do find times when the electronic system makes things easier, but they also making things more difficult at times. Like anything else these days, I suppose. Two other points I'd like to make: If you're in the 35% tax bracket, your contributions are likely being limited, thereby reducing your deductible charitable contributions to even less than my above calculation. More importantly, though, if you are in the 35% tax bracket, why you skimping on your tix and buying the cheap seats?
Will have to review with our accountant, but we are not huge donators. I believe you can donate up to 20% of adjusted gross income. I had a nice pair in 118, but found it was too expensive for most friends. Buddy I usually go with needs the extra room, so mgb's and these work out perfectly. He is a struggling artist so the price works better for him too. Have sit in the white seats four times this year and have not paid more than $30.
Usually, as you get up there in income, your itemized deductions are often limited, or phased out. Obviously, without seeing your return, I can't speak to your circumstances, but I'd expect you're probably not getting as much of a deduction as you think (just based on the various returns I worked on while in public accounting for a near-decade). My comment was half tongue-in-cheek, half always looking for the best deal out there. So I always weigh costs out there to make informed decisions. Just a habit. What happens to donated tickets, anyway?
I have the same seats available for the Pacer game tomorrow, Dallas next Tuesday, and Utah next Saturday. $20 total for each pair. Pacers sold via the Blazers resale site. Mavs and Jazz still available.
