Interesting stat. Is this referee have a biff with the Timbers and doesn't call fouls equally?
The Timbers defense leads the league in goals given up in the second half and either tying or losing games. However, I saw the replays on Portland Kalif Alhassan being taken down. That was just purely bad calling by the lead referee.

Here are the matches with Referee Jorge Gonzalez in games with Timbers.
March 17, 2012 @ Dallas, Portland get the tying goal in the 51st min.
March 31, 2012 vs RSL, Portland loses.
April 28, 2012 @ Montreal, as they score twice in the final 15 minutes on Saturday for a 2-0 victory over the Timbers.

I'm still looking at the other games that Jorge refereed but at this point its merely the defensive collapse by the timbers and not specifically on the referee.

I usually don't like to complain about referees, but that guy is the worst I've ever seen. Usually you can get a sense of a ref's philosophy on how he calls a game, but this guy was all over the effing place. I almost never shout for penalties because most refs are too chicken to call them half the time, but that was a clear take down in the box. That ref shouldn't be calling pro games.

    How's it going Nate Dogg?

HA! I'd be the most biased SOB ever! The game would be called because I would send off too many opponents!
