I thought that was funny. Boo-hoo. He doesn't want to play on top tier artificial turf. He's afraid of getting hurt. What the hell! Maybe Juan Pablo Angel is afraid of the Turf Monster.
Good game but the timbers need another win on the road to even considering making it past as a wild card team.
The team might get a win against Philly (9/10/11) since that team is T-T-T-L-L in its last five games. This could be the Timbers next chance to get their second win on the road.
Is Philly always as bad as they were last night? I watched the whole first half and I swear they never completed more than 2 passes in a row and any pass over 10 yards was off the mark by a good 1-2 yards. It seemed like every time they should have played a through ball to a player streaking up the field, the pass would be behind him so he'd have to stop his run in order to receive the pass. I don't watch much MLS, so maybe they were playing scrubs. I did hear that they had a 16 year old on the field, so maybe that's an excuse. Oh well, next year!
