Timbers got robbed in the 67th minute or so. We got a corner kick, it went into the crowd of players and one of our timbers kicked the ball, an impact player touched it defensively with his hand into his goalies hands. That was such bullshit, the crowd saw it as we should have gotten a penalty kick. Pore had a shot too as well, he had a ground ball, let it bounce once and then he kicked it, sailing the ball about 15 feet above the net. He was like 20 feet out! We had a header shot miss the goal too! So many missed chances.
we gotta work on our finishing.. I heard a stat about the last three games or so.. 50 shots on goal... 2 goals.
yeah thats an ugly stat.. although the 3/4 part can be misleading cause of the huge layoff they had. I cant really say its rust anymore with the 3 games in a weeks time.
Timbers seriously need to win on the road at Baltimore. A little payback is needed. Then the timbers get 2 weeks off before they take on Carolina at home.
Preparing for MLS means lots of young players on the field and a lot of frustrated fans in the stands. Shit!
yep thats how I'm trying to look at it.. of course we wanna win everything.. but we aren't gonna be playing and giving valuable experience to guys who for sure aren't gonna be with us next year. We need to let our guys who are potential MLS players grow.
