Timbers dominate AC St. Louis from start to finish. 3-0 F AC St. Louis put up a bit of a fight in the first half, but still found themselves down 2-0 after the first 45 minutes. In the second half this expansion team (which is the only nice thing you can say about them) could barely get the ball out of their own half. St. Louis is even worse than I thought they were. I don't know what the owner of this team was thinking when he put his roster together, but he thinks he can get away with having only 3 players with USL 1 experience and MLS legend Steve Ralston (the record holder for most assists in MLS history and St. Louis native). There are a couple other players with pro experience, but more than half the roster are rookies. It's gonna be a long season for AC fans. Oh yeah: Pore had one goal in the first minute (Obatola assist) and another during first half stoppage time. OJ Obatola scored one in front of the North End in the second half ('bout 65', unassisted), and celebrated joyously in front of the Timbers Army. St Louis sucks, and the Timbers easily took 3 points. THE END
I actually missed all three goals that game. I was moments away from each one and it drove me nuts! I will have to watch the online recap on the timbers webpage to see the goals.
Wish I woulda gone to this instead of the Blazer game Picked up some No Pity Scarves at the Merch Trailer and met Cronin walking in front of PGE Park.
Luke Kreamalmeyer led the Timbers in scoring in 2006 a year after leaving the Real Salt Lake reserve team. He went on to play for Rochester, Charlseton (preseason), Carolina and now in his home town of St. Louis. I was just kidding Wheels : )
Yes, I think the Timbers game was more exciting to watch than the Blazers. I'm so glad I worked it instead of being inside the RG.
