This is simply terrible. Mass killing in vegas, mass killing in florida, shooting in schools and you just accept it because what? it's part of your colture? the wild wild west? the good, the bad and the ugly? actual people are getting killed, school kids. every lunatic can take a gun and start shooting, how is that making any sense. you hit the streets to protest the elections, this is what you need to protest, it's simply unacceptable. it makes no sense. change it
To eleborate on the previous question, In Israel you need a license to carrying weapon, I don't have such license and probably wouldn't get one if I tried. I'm not saying things in Israel are perfect in any way, but this is about your country and something you need to change for your guys sake
This isn’t Trump - I wish I could blame it on him. It’s about the NRA becoming a lobbying arm of gun companies and not just protecting the 2nd.
Justice Scalia also wrote: “It may be objected that if weapons that are most useful in military service — M-16 rifles and the like — may be banned, then the Second Amendment right is completely detached from the prefatory clause. But as we have said, the conception of the militia at the time of the Second Amendment’s ratification was the body of all citizens capable of military service, who would bring the sorts of lawful weapons that they possessed at home to militia duty. It may well be true today that a militia, to be as effective as militias in the 18th century, would require sophisticated arms that are highly unusual in society at large. Indeed, it may be true that no amount of small arms could be useful against modern-day bombers and tanks. But the fact that modern developments have limited the degree of fit between the prefatory clause and the protected right cannot change our interpretation of the right.”
Trump - yes! But this is a systematic problem that swallowed Trump. I’m not saying he is devoid of blame, I’m saying he is just a scratch on the surface.
It sucks that schools aren't gun-free zones. If we could make a law that guns weren't allowed to be on school property maybe this wouldn't have happened. What's that you say? That all three of the events Further and Chris were referencing were at places where guns were not allowed, even in self-protection (similar to the Fort Hood and Navy Yard and Chattanooga shootings)? That's an interesting development...
Of course guns aren't allowed at schools. Its not about that. Its about mentally ill people should not have access to or allowed to own guns. They are not capable of being responsible for them and should therefore not have them.
