    McGrady mourning for childhood friend

    Near the end of an MVP-caliber season in which it seems he can do no wrong, Tracy McGrady speaks softly, solemnly, right now and asks himself one question.

    Why?

    Why did one of his best friends have to die early Sunday morning? And why couldn't McGrady, who has seemingly been in the right place all season, do something to stop it?

    He was supposed to hang out with Eric Anderson soon. They were playing phone tag. It had been two weeks since McGrady had talked to his buddy, the point guard at Auburndale High School during their day.

    :cry: :cry: :cry: T-Mac won't be the same the rest of this year. How'd u feel if ur friend got killed? But at least his momma didn't die, then he'd have no shot at MVP.

    i predict 39 points tonight....25 for Eric, and 14 for the 2 weeks he missed him. I'd hate for my friends to die like that....

    whenever something like this happens though, tmac comes out determined, after the magic traded his best friend, he came out and scored 52 pts.
