The Texas Rangers have agreed to terms on a minor league deal with pitcher Tommy Hanson pending a physical that includes an invitation to big league spring training, sources confirmed Monday. Hanson gives the Rangers another arm with starting experience that can compete for the final rotation spot, joining a host of internal candidates. The need for additional arms has increased for the Rangers since Derek Holland likely is out until midseason after having surgery on his knee.
