... And not enough on offense?

Defense is one of the most important things for Orlando since it seems to always be a problem. So because of that I figured it would be a good thing and we'd actually give some teams a challenge. But now Orlando can't seem to find the basket.

    Whats the deal?

In three games, the Magic have limited opponents to only 90.3 points, which is an impressive 11.5 points fewer than last season. Trouble is, they are scoring only 80.7 points, 18.8 points fewer than last season.</div>

Offense'll come, just give it time. It might be like this for now only because Orlando is "new" at good defense.

I agree that we need to start focusing more on offense. We haven't been able to score in the half court offense effectively this year and we have been relying on the fast break to get the majority of our points. Our defense has been good lately but we still need to put some points on the board if we want to start winning games.

Also, when we get Grant Hill back we should start seeing more scoring. Grant was a contributor each night and almost always provided double digit scoring. He is our only All-Star at this time and now that he is gone we are seeing how much we need him.

Yeah it'll come, but don't you think we should work on that too?

Brian Hill even admitted the team was lacking in that department.

Although our offense has been below average so far this season, we looked very good last night. We were shooting well and played great late in the game. Even though we played a weak Hornets team last night, I'm still happy with our offensive production. If we can continue to play like we did last night, I think we will start winning some games and suprise some people.

The defense has been very good, good enough for us to beat the hornets despite 20 turnovers and 14 hornet fastbreak points. the halfcourt offense should become more effective when dooling and then hill get back... which could get us to the playoffs if howard keeps getting better.
