Re: TOR:Regular season thread It's definitely going to be an uncomfortable position though. He already knows that the pressure is unfairly placed on him to lead the club right out fo the gates to start off the season. Same thing happened with Kessel last year when he finally laced them up again, but Kadri is a rookie and this team still has it's holes to fix. Hopefully he can take the heat and give Toronto a solid season.

Re: TOR:Regular season thread It was good for their confidence, but that was a very inexperienced line-up they faced. They made an AHL team look like an AHL team. Hopefully Toronto wins their first game of the regular season on Thursday. I can't remember the last time they've done that.

I'm trying not to get too ahead of myself here, but what if the Maple Leafs go 3-0? History will be made. LOL! Well... no, not really (they started off 10-0 some 17 years ago), but it would be pretty cool. The Penguins will be the real first test they've had this year.
I like Chicago, so I don't mind at all. Jonathan Toews is a freakin' hero! A shame they lost Byfuglien though.
Why does everything think Byfuglien is so freaking good? He averaged 17 goals a season, he didn't do that well in the 08/09 playoffs. He was a playoff hero, thats it. Even though thats big...
