Camara has only been with us for 11 games, but he may already be the most over-rated Blazer of all time. Why are people so excited about him? His numbers are awful.

If you project them out per 36, he's averaging 7.7 pounds, 6.4 rebounds as s a PF, with a god awful TS% of 43%. That is abysmal for a guy who doesn't even shoot much. Maybe it's because there were no expectations for him, but the fact he's in the rotation just proves how thin we are at forward.

    Yeah, he's a rookie, but he's 23.5 years old.

    Our defense is way better.

While I agree that Carama is probably getting a little too much hype, "the most over-rated Blazer of all time" take is Nate-level hyperbolic.

You are analyzing him on a Lillard scale; offense/measurable metrics not accounting for defense.

Is he in line for DPOY? No.

Does he make us a better defensive team. Yes.

He may never have great offensive skills (or he may, don’t know) but he appears to be the kind of defensive glue guy & team player you want.

he hustles & plays good D, but it sure would help if he could shoot. 38% on two's and 24% on three's is pretty awful

also in this god awful season with bad luck and injuries, we aren't allowed to get excited about anything apparently before clueless stat watchers tell us how to act.

He's like a reverse Adam Morrison then. His offense is at least as bad as Adam's defense.

Many are talking about him like we've found a long term starter at forward. He's a scrub.

Why do people try to get excited about players on our team? Why do people allow entertainment to potentially entertain them? Wouldn't you be much happier being a miserable fucking prick online? Instead of trying to be hopeful and positive about something you enjoy?

Man, fuck this place sometimes. Of course, it's on me for not using ignore for asshats, but still...

Blazers have Toumani on a 4yr non-guaranteed minimum contract. He's going to be in Portland for the long haul. He plays pestering defense. He shows a lot of hustle. He's taller then 6'5" Nassir Little.

Offensively... he airballed a corner 3 tonight, it wasn't even close to hitting anything. I don't think Toumani is a 3&D wing just yet. Coach Billups is doing great developing the youngsters, so launch away Camara.

Good thing the Bulls didn’t give up on Scottie Pippen in his first season. He couldn’t play a lick of offense but he could defend. Not saying Toumani will be the next Scottie Pippen either before someone chimes in.

I see him as our future Draymond or Rodman. Championship team needs this kind of player. Future looks good.

So it makes exact sense why he went so late in the 2nd round
