Link please. Why 6:00pm? That seems like an odd time. I thought it was 9:00pm PST (midnight EST). Oh well, damn. I'm so disappointed. I can't believe Neil didn't convince another team to give us something for nothing. BNM
Find a player you'd honestly want at the appropriate price range. And then double his cost, because this would probably push us into luxury tax range.
We're already $3 million over the tax threshold. So, find that player and multiply his salary time 3.5x. Doesn't matter. I didn't see anyone who I wanted that would have been available for a TPE. BNM
It's our fault for believing are GM would do something that he implied he would? Why should we expect nothing at of our GM, no matter what he says? That's kinda depressing.
I thought overpaying for below average players was what got us into this mess in the first place. Doing more of the same isn't the answer. Nobody was going to give us a 1st round pick or a talented young player on a cheap contract. Both are just too valuable these days, and 2nd round picks can be had on draft day for a whole lot less (as we have seen over and over and over - Crabbe, Layman, Trent Jr. etc.). BNM
The appropriate price range is literally anything from rookie scale to 13m. Kind of a wide net. Too bad 90210 couldn’t identify one player.
Show me one quote where he guaranteed he'd use the TPE. He said it would be in play. That's not the same thing as saying we will absolutely use it to add more talent to our roster. BNM
Why, because I refuse to get upset over something I didn't think was going to happen anyway.? Yeah, I'm a real fucking idiot. I think I'll spend weeks complaining about it. I'm sure that will make it all better. BNM
Who gives away a cheap, talented player for nothing these days? Who??? Outside of a top 20 player, those are some of the most highly desirable players in today's NBA. Get young talent while it's cheap. That's what everyone is trying to do. No one is stupid enough to give it away for nothing. BNM
He "implied" nothing. He said it would be in play. If you assumed that meant we'd use it, that's on you. BNM
