Tucker, eh. There aren't too many less exciting $5+mil players I can think of. Very grindy. Very good defender and rebounder, but a non-factor on offense. He'd be the opposite of a crowd-pleasing acquisition. Most interesting thing about him is that, on a one-for-one trade, Tucker's $5.3mil salary matches up best with Mirotic's, though because the Suns are under the cap, Gibson or even Rondo could work. Of course, if multiple players were involved, almost anything could work.
Boston is our best trading partner no doubt, but...We will have to go through them if we ever want to get out of the East and play for title. I mean one can argue, we have the Cavs and GS in our way(and others of course, but they are our main 2) and if we trade Butler to Boston, add a 3rd team. Horford is 31, Butler 27 and IT is around Jimmy's age as well. Add the younger pieces, that team will be primed to make a run for at least 4 years barring injury. It will probably take more than 4 years to make the playoffs again! But, what if it doesn't? We have other teams we could trade with. Minny being the other. Thibs knows how to coach Jimmy.
