Would you trade Raef, Travis and Bayless for Marion? yes or no Your trade idea? Rule 1. Make it work on a trade checker 2. Make it somewhat reasonable (no Lebron trades).
No, I wouldn't make that trade right now but if Bayless wasn't fitting in with the team by the trade deadline I would probably do this trade. My trade: Would you trade Outlaw and our next years 1st round pick for M.Miller SF Minn.
a) Why can't I trade for LeBron??? b) Marion's tough for me...I really put a premium on "non-chuckleheads". I don't deny his talent, and I can't say that he's a Z-bo-esque player or anything, but I don't like him enough to trade for him. c) I'll have about 50 trades in just a minute. PS: If I get it to work in 2k9, does it count as "reasonable"?
Because there's no way the cavs are even going to begin entertaining trades for James until next season and that's only if they feel he's a goner at the end of the season. The Matrix a "chucklehead?" The guy wants a big contract and major role on a team, but he's a premier defender and wing and doesn't deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as Z-Bo. My only beef with Marion is that he'd essentially be a rented player.
i know he is good but i dont know if i would pull the trigger, not sure who at 3 i would trade for to be honest.
How about Raef and Travis for GWallace (4 yr contract hurt a lot but talented) and Morrison (1 year throw in contract)?
I'll pass on the trade. Who knows if Marion would want to re-sign here, and we'd get him for just one season. And we may have our future SF in Nicolas Batum!
I'm not sure. I think I rather have Marion then V.Carter especially with their contracts. Carter has a terrible contract and Marion has a great contract and I actually think Marion at this stage of his career is better.
Sure, I'd do that in a heartbeat. Morrisson, I assume, is just a throw-in as a favour to the Bobcats. He certainly has no real use to Portland. But he can be jettisoned and Gerald Wallace would be a great complimentary piece. Admittedly, I've not watched him play a lot recently, but my perception is that he's seen as a very good defender. In addition, he's only 25 and he's very productive.
That's why I said it was tough...my gut feeling about him is not good, but I don't have a good reason why. I know he's not ZBo, hence me saying he's not a Z-bo-esque player. He's talented, but I get a warm fuzzy about him.
How dare you say that! With Morrison and Steven Hill on the team these guys will never get in trouble in a casino. They will always have something to bet on - will Hill's beard be able to block Morrison's 'stache?
http://www.realgm.com/src_checktrade.php?tradeid=4782794 Travis Outlaw | Shavlik Randolph | Ike Diogu For Hedo Turkoglu --- We clear up some roster space. We get a good veteran coming off his best year ever. Great outside shooter. I also think Hedo would fit in good with our guys. Roy Rudy Hedo LMA Oden You don't like that lineup? Blake Bayless Batum Frye Joel Not a bad 2nd unit?
no marion please. his attitude is a big red flag to me. i think he needs a GREAT point guard to be good. so far in miami, hes done nothing and he clearly has shown that winning is definitely not his #1 priority. check the latest portland podcast. they threw out stephen jackson, gerald wallace, shawn marion and vince carter. they seemed to kinda agree on carter. he would be like rasheed wallace going to the pistons. vince is very happy being a role player on the team if it means winning. not every day you find a talent who is like that.
I kinda like the idea of Carter. He always is injured is my major concern, but that doesn't matter because we have so much depth.
one of the great misconceptions in the league. compare that to... Tracy McGrady (66) Ray Allen (44) Allen Iverson (34) Paul Pierce (30) Joe Johnson and Richard Hamilton (25) Kobe Bryant (23) Lebron James (16) yet whenever i talk to people, they say carter is injured all the time and never plays yes I am very biased cause I am huge VC/Blazer fan, but honestly, I think he would really give them a valuable piece that would raise their level of competitiveness. I just doubt the Nets would do it. See the whole article here
