i have very little knowledge of macs. only used them a few times and just browsing the internet and what not..but on windows when you plug an ipod in. you can go to my computer, then click on the ipod folder or w/e it's called. after that you can click "music" or something like that(might be a hidden file)..and then a bunch of folders show up(again might be hidden) and you can drag those to wherever you want..now I haven't done it in a long time and i'm sure I botched a few details but if you open the ipod folder you should mess around and find it...hope that helps

Shouldnt you simply be able to sync your iPod with iTunes and it will transfer all your music to your library? I've done it with my iPhone and my work PC.

I had a similar problem. My old computer died, and when i wanted to put the music from my ipod onto the new computer, it told me I would have to wipe the ipod. I didn't bother syncing it, I am going to give the ehizzy method a try when i remember next.
