Tribune Nothing terribly new here. Just confirmation that Roy, Aldridge and Oden get 35 min/game, and everyone else fills in.
Thanks for posting the article Reep. Is it just me or is everyone running out of new angles to write from for their articles. I swear when I read the Oregonian today it had the same story but worded slightly differently. It is exciting though. I don't think I have been this excited for a team I am a fan of ever. Granted I am still young and next year might be even more insane but still. I was learning how to talk last time the Blazers were this energizing.
I think it was media day interviews. Everyone has the same taped interviews, so all the information is the same. All I want next is a video from the scrimmages.
There are a few people you meet in life who just can't not be funny. I know that's probably supposed to be his "game face," but it's absolutely hilarious.
Greg Oden is going to own this town. If he stays healthy, he will eclipse Clyde Drexler as the greatest Blazer ever. P.S. Before I even read your post, I saw the picture and laughed. He is one funny guy.
I'm sure hoping McMillan doesn't give Roy and Oden 35 minutes per game. Roy I'd like to see more in the 32 or 30 minutes per game. Ditto for Oden. We got depth. Use it.
I just flashed an image of Greg breaking some guys wrist who was trying to dunk on him, then glaring down on him with his 'game face' while the guy is lying on the hardwood, and the guy looks up at Greg and can't help but laugh. Greg is just that darned funny.
I agree completely. And not just because both guys need to be eased into the season after injuries. Keep them healthy. Keep them fresh. Nate can tighten the rotation when we get to the playoffs.
I'd love to see us conserve the energies of our guys by using our depth. Also, it would allow them to play harder if they don't have to worry about conserving their energy.
Brandon was at 38 min/game last year and LMA at 35. I wouldn't mind seeing both at 35. LMA should be able to handle it and Roy would be dropping 3/game. Having said that, if Rudy and Bayless really step up, then it would be great to see Nate not have to rely on Roy as much this year.
