Zombie Trump: 4 years or 8?

Discussion in 'Blazers OT Forum' started by Rastapopoulos, Dec 19, 2016.

?

How long will Trump be president?

  1. Less than 4 years (state reason - impeachment or other)

    27.8%
  2. 4 years

    33.3%
  3. More than 4, less than 8 (state reason)

    2.8%
  4. 8 years

    30.6%
  5. more than 8 (he'll get rid of term limits like, y'know, Putin)

    5.6%

If he doesn't get impeached, assasinated, or quit, he will serve one term. He will not get elected a second time, not after he does what he is about to do...then again America was foolish enough to elect W twice...but even so

I don't see people in flyover country getting any smarter in the next 4 years, so I'm going to say he gets reelected. The collapse of the economy and the scandals and the wars will be Obama's fault.

impeached first term...doesn't have the discipline to play well with others or listen to council...will try to govern by twitter and end up hurting the wrong people too often.....sort of wishful thinking in terms of impeachment but I have no reason to trust his value system so it's really a crap shoot...he could just instantly combust from an overdose of hairspray and tanning spray...in the end I think it's why Boehner quietly faded into the sunset

I sincerely hope the country learns from this election and legislators start actually working on problem solving...Trump is a wake up call president in that he stimulates reactions.....I'm hoping this ends up well. In my wildest dreams I never would've believed W.C. Fields would be president!

I think he will win by a YUGE landslide in the next election if he follows through with efforts on every major rhetoric (build the wall, lower taxes, strengthen the military and bring back jobs) he's been discussing.

I really can't say. Too hard to predict. I do however think the midterm elections will go the Democrats way. I think of Bill Clinton's election when there had been 12 years of republican presidents, and a "change" candidate elected. 2 years in and boom, all the Dems get voted out. I wouldn't be surprised to see history repeat itself. The country seems to love gridlock and is insecure having one party dominate the different branches of government. So, I have no predictions for # of terms of Trump. He seems unpredictable. But, I wouldn't be shocked to see the Dems win some races in 2 years to reconfigure Congress. Maybe not enough to create a majority, but enough to give Denny that sweet sweet gridlock he loves.

Because we were in the middle of two wars. Don't think the Trump people don't know the advantages of wars.

Really? They haven't for a while. That's the time when the old folks come out to vote. Of course, if Paul Ryan gets his way, they'll've got rid of Medicare by then...

(But of course they'll have some grandfather (no pun intended) clause to protect their current wrinkly voters.)

I wish I could argue. I can see a mini (I hope) 9/11 coming soon and he'll get to bomb the shit out of ISIS (and a lot of civilians, but serve them right for standing near terrorists) and give everyone in shitkickerland giant boners.

I voted for four years. I think he's the antichrist and will want to move on to bigger things after one term.

Not only do I not think he'll be re-elected in 2020, but I think that so many Republicans will be dissatisfied with him that he won't even the Republican primary. He will become the first sitting president since 1884 to seek but not receive his party's nomination for an additional term. But he'll run as an independent anyway, and whoever wins the Democratic nomination will be a shoo-in.
