yeah...he finally went there. Speaking to a white Minnesota crowd: https://www.huffpost.com/entry/trum...ullet-rally-speech_n_5f6677d7c5b6b9795b11aa12 it's unbelievable this slimy despicable piece of shit is supported by millions of Americans. They all own sentiments that trump expresses, and now he's essentially talking 'purity of race' horseshit. No bottom to the trump gutter
this comes from his father, and his own belief in eugenics. deeply rooted in his belief that his "gut", stable genius, superior genes, gives him the only answers/policies that matter. superiority/supremacy.
He is in favor of executing babies after birth? How can anyone believe that is the case, unless they're fucking drunk or high as a kite.
this goes against trending and recent serious polling, concerning the American public's views on abortion and roe-vs-wade. overturning it, IMHO is very doubtful, is also unpopular with the majority of americans. even among the catholic vote that he is actively targeting in the swing state pennsylvania, wisconson michigan and ohio it is very complicated. shrinking ones outreach and only targeting your base in this election IMHO will be the main cause of a democratic sweep. while the evangelical vote is critical, and are reliable to show up to the polls, there are not enough of them that didn't show in 2016 to account for the democratic motivation that will only be heightened by a conservative justice confirmation. in 2016, trump mostly evenly split the catholic vote that didn't turn out that strongly period and it is obvious his campaign outreach and targeting believe that if they can peel off enough of those catholic voters in the margins, they will carry the election.
I highly doubt the SC will consider the views of the majority on Roe V Wade before they overturn it. They are not elected by the people and they are not beholden to the people.
gorsuch already looked at precedent and voted that way in the last decision about states rights to seek to limit access, along with the chief justice's long history of relying on precedent and not willing to take cases that would challenge previous SC decision so i believe it will stand.
my comment wasn't really about the possible SC decision but the trump strategy in finding trump voters to counter the likelihood of democratic turnout. "overturning it, IMHO is very doubtful,as is also unpopular with the majority of americans".
When I want to get "wired" I reach for meth and cocaine. Works every time. Sure, Quaaludes are great but there's a time and place for everything.
