i expect this to be dissed by both the left and right, but he really does sound like elizabeth warren in making some of his points and calling out some of the failures of our present economy.
i understand his positions on "demographics"(race) are at best controversial, but i hope it doesn't limit the discussion to that topic, though it is undoubtedly an important component for context.
the positions he stakes out are controversial or even down right contrary to conservatives and republican positions on our economic model.

How to even respond? Tucker and Greg Gutfeld are the only two on Fox that I like. As to the powerful elites, that is the real problem on both sides. I think this guy is the guy I saw on Rogan last night. He's a liberal from what I've seen but he blasts Pelosi in this video and it is hard to defend her.

Then as to the social destruction our government has caused.

How do you fix the family? I didn't want to get married or have kids.

Finally did the marriage thing after all. I had no religious motivation for it.

But how do we determine the causes of where we are?

i agree, the powerful elites, career politicians and the hypocrisy of the entire noble oblige is failing us.
it seems that the answer or at least conclusions that make the most sense would be some of the populist talking points of sen. warren. he borrows from her quite a bit. i wonder if there is a bridge leader that can overcome our divides without mucking about in a socialist agenda. the facts point to trickle down economics being a fallacy for the poor and middle classes. taxation of labor at a higher effective rate than the capitalist investor has to be addressed IMHO. drain the swamp!

i have no answer unless a culture that allows for increased self respect in the individuals' own self worth might result from addressing income inequality and especially economic opportunity.
education, reinvestment, worker profit sharing as opposed to stock dividend perhaps. labor having a stake in business has been a successful model. how do you measure happiness?
your own self worth? it will vary from individual to individual, but increasing it would seem to be a stabilizing social factor. might address many ills.

i also feel that the repeal of the death/estate tax will only exasperate the situation. income tax overhaul with a different agenda than the rich get richer. small business pass through reduction rates i am sympathetic to, but a better definition or cap on what defines small.

Then the problem would be the rich moving in our global economy. I seem to recall record numbers of Americans renouncing their citizenship recently.

They'll find loopholes like they did with the credit card rates and all moving to South Dakota or whichever state it was that had looser usury laws.

On one hand even poor people who aren't homeless in this country have it way better than the rest of the world and on the othet hand those of us work to get just a little more seem to work harder and harder to make the same or less.

I don't know who could fix the mess we're in. You need to sneak up on it somehow and not just make wild changes all at once or something will happen that we didn't see coming.

I have no problem with Americans who create/accumulate wealth while paying their taxes honestly, employing Americans at legal wages to make their products or perform their services, obey health, employment, environmental and safety regulations, and support the Constitution.

I have an enormous problem with American politicians accepting ANYTHING OF VALUE from any source other than their designated salary from taxpayers. They are criminals and enemies of my country.

I have an enormous problem with Americans who create/accumulate wealth by avoiding paying taxes through overseas accounts, or those who avoid employing Americans at legal wages to make their products or perform their services, avoid obeying health, employment, environmental and safety regulations, either by employing illegal aliens or moving their companies to countries where they employ slaves and have less regulation.

Nearly all rich heroes of the left became that way solely by exploiting/supporting Asia's child-labor camps, Asia's political prisoner-labor camps, Asia's genocide-supporting ethnic cleansing- labor camps, all with no environmental concerns at all.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

― Sun Tzu, The Art of War

i don't consider those on the right my enemies, and i believe i gain important insight by listening to the same voices. i also see areas of potential compromise and even areas of like minded views. to not be willing to listen to the same voices as others, sets one up to potentially be no more than a parrot of the echo chamber they rely on. i prefer not to listen to only those i know i agree with. just my view on it.

The Elites on both sides are driven by money and illegal immigration because it pads their and their lobbyist pockets with low cost labor which increase profits as a percent of sales. Elites on both sides have incentives to not govern the border properly.

That's obvious or the Republicans would have done something the first month of Trump's term. Mandatory e-verify and more fines for employers.

The small weren't the rich before income tax was overhauled resulting in a huge windfall for the wealthy. Can't we at leas go back to where we were?
