When Putin was lecturing Trump about Stalin, Trump thought he meant stalling...Don's not the sharpest pencil in the box

I had relatives that drank a lot of corn whiskey made with a wood fire in the woods of Alabama. This was drank out of a canning jar.
In dry Decatur Alabama, my grandfather would drink this moonshine in a speak easy in dry Decatur, directly across the street from city hall in the company of the mayor and chief of police.

Lets just say Ivanka is going to have to testify eventually. There is no way charges will not be brought up against her father and she will have to either take the wrap or tell on him.

Why? Because of the $26 million that Trump wrote off as "consulting fees" between 2010 and 2018, none is allocated to any specific person or entity. (The Times figured out the $747,622 payment by matching an amount paid in Trump's tax returns to the same sum reported by Ivanka Trump on her financial disclosure forms filed when she went to work in the White House in 2017.)

So unfair. Putin and Kim Jong Un don't have to debate. Sad!

the trump campaign just got a pretty major snub. they have been open in their courting of the catholic vote.

Pope Francis refused to meet with Mike Pompeo so as not to boost Trump
    https://www.vox.com/2020/9/30/21495579/pope-francis-mike-pompeo-vatican-meeting

While on a weeklong trip to Europe, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo planned to sit down with Pope Francis during a visit to the Vatican. But the Catholic leader refused the photo ops and handshakes with America’s top diplomat out of one major concern: That he’d be a pawn in Trump’s reelection efforts.

“Yes, that is precisely why the pope will not meet American secretary of state Mike Pompeo,” Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher, the Vatican’s secretary for relations with states, told Italian news agency Ansa on Wednesday.

There is so very much wrong with this President that we have all pretty much passed up on what was prevalent just two weeks ago.

The last line of “Rage” is among his most direct: “When his performance as president is taken in its entirety, I can only reach one conclusion: Trump is the wrong man for the job.”
    -Bob Woodward

This book will leave you absolutely speechless.

If you are not a supporter of Trump read it and you will wonder how this could happen?

biden being catholic would likely view it as an honor as opposed to a photo op. biden is considerably more genuine IMHO

Ohio: A Swing State Once Again

    https://morning.thedispatch.com/p/t...Q.yXTJ8nSfvlQjkSTSP9LDCnDHmAjlx1hZcLBlTiN-IHk

Neck-and-neck in Ohio is bad news for Trump. Of the four Rust Belt states he flipped four years ago—Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Ohio—Ohio was by far his most decisive victory. The Buckeye State went blue in both 2008 and 2012—by 4.6 and 3 points, respectively—but Trump won it by 8.1 points in 2016 on his way to sweeping the Midwest (save Illinois and Minnesota) and taking the White House. In Michigan he won by 0.2 points; in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin he won by 0.7.

To be in a statistical tie with Joe Biden in Ohio 33 days out, therefore, is less than ideal for the president’s re-election chances. A recent Quinnipiac University poll had the former vice president up 1 point in the state; a Fox News poll had him up 5. Biden doesn’t even need Ohio—he has multiple other pathways to get the necessary 270 electoral votes. But for Trump, losing it would almost certainly be a death knell.

(CNN)Texas Gov. Greg Abbott issued a proclamation Thursday limiting the amount of drop-off locations for mail-in ballots to one site per county.

The move significantly affects the Democratic stronghold of Harris County, which is the state's largest county by population -- one of the most populous in the country -- and covers a massive area. It must now reduce its 11 drop-off locations down to one starting on Friday. Travis County, which includes the reliably Democratic city of Austin, must limit its four drop-off locations to one.
Other large counties -- like Tarrant, Dallas and El Paso County -- only had one drop-off location already in place.

The Republican governor said in a statement the order was made to enhance ballot security. It also allows poll watchers to observe the in-person delivery of mail-in ballots by voters, but critics say it could severely limit access for many voters.

"The State of Texas has a duty to voters to maintain the integrity of our elections," Abbott said. "As we work to preserve Texans' ability to vote during the COVID-19 pandemic, we must take extra care to strengthen ballot security protocols throughout the state. These enhanced security protocols will ensure greater transparency and will help stop attempts at illegal voting."

The decision has already drawn fire from Texas Democrats. The state's Democratic party chair, Gilberto Hinojosa, labeled it a "blatant voter suppression tactic" in a press release. The group Let America Vote also blasted the move.
