Timbers U23s have pulled off two home results in USOpenCup Qualifying, 3-1 and 1-0. There remain 2 away games - Friday at Spokane and Saturday at Yakima, both squads with two losses currently. The USOC spot goes to the top team in our division after 4 matches - 2 home, 2 away. Considering that there are is a team ahead of us with a 3-0-0 record, the U23s must win these weekend matches. My guess, though it frustrates me to find no confirmation online, is that the tie-break might be goal difference. Currently Kitsap +10, 10-0 Victoria +4, 7-3 not in the running (Canadian) U23s +3, 4-1 So, they need to put it in the net this weekend. That is all.
